CoverPoint (“the App”) is developed and maintained by an independent developer (“the Developer”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when using the CoverPoint application on supported Apple and Windows platforms.

 

 

 

1. App Overview

 

 

CoverPoint is a professional match analysis application designed for Cricket Analysts.

The App is currently available as a desktop application (MacOS & Windows), with additional platform versions under development (iPad).

 

Internet access is required for:

 

  • User authentication

  • License verification

 

 

 

 

2. Information We Collect

 

 

 

a. Account Information

 

 

To access the App, users must sign in using a pre-approved email address. The following information is collected:

 

  • Email address

  • Device or machine identifier

 

 

This data is stored securely using Firebase Authentication services and is used solely for:

 

  • User authentication

  • License verification

  • Enforcing permitted device usage

 

 

 

 

b. Usage & Diagnostic Information

 

 

The App may generate:

 

  • Application logs

  • Crash reports

  • Diagnostic information

 

 

These are used to improve stability and provide technical support.

 

 

 

c. Match & Video Data

 

 

All match data, video files, and analysis reports are:

 

  • Stored locally on the user’s device

  • Not automatically uploaded to any server

 

 

The Developer does not access this data unless explicitly shared by the user for support purposes.

 

 

 

3. Local Data & User Control

 

 

Users retain full ownership of their locally stored data.

For troubleshooting or support, users may voluntarily share database or log files with the Developer.

 

Failure to share requested diagnostic data may limit the ability to provide support but will not result in unauthorized access to user content. 

 

 

 

4. Internet Connectivity

 

 

If the App does not detect internet access for an extended period:

 

  • The user may be required to re-authenticate

  • Certain features related to licensing may be temporarily unavailable

 

 

 

 

5. Payments & Licensing

 

 

  • Payments for trial or freemium versions may be processed via the App Store, where applicable.

  • Licensing status is associated with the user’s authenticated email address.

 

 

No payment information is stored directly by the App.

 

 

 

6. Use of Information

 

 

Collected information is used to:

 

  • Authenticate users

  • Validate licenses

  • Provide customer support

  • Improve app functionality
